Thank You

Another Year Comes to A Close . . .

Well here we are again at the end of another great Celina Lake Festival.  First of all we would like to thank all of the people who have come down to work at the Celina Lake Festival to make it successful event. Thank you to the City of Celina, Police Department, and MCERV who have all put in the extra hours this past weekend to make this event all come together.  Also there are all the sponsors and local business’s that have invested and helped to support the Lake Festival, please be sure to thank them if you see them as your out and about the town.  Most importantly we would like to thank the community for coming out and enjoying the entertainment activities and festivities.  Without you it truly would not be possible to make this event successful or happen.

As we wind down in the 2014 Festival and pack our things away, we are already looking into what we can do next year to make this even bigger and better for the community.  Also with the new website now you have the freedom to comment on our pages and let us know what you think and feel.  To really get it started now and take advantage of this feature we would like to know what you, the community thinks we could do to make this festival even more successful and entertaining.

I know there are people who may not be satisfied with things this year and we would appreciate this not turning into a negative session.  Try to keep everything positive and just let us know what you think we could add or do to make it better for you, your family and the community.

Thank you again !!  See you all next year.

2014 Celina Lake Festival Volleyball Tournament Champions

Celina Lake Festival Volleyball Tournament

Well the weather sure did put us through a lot of worries today, a few storms and rain decided to come through the area today yet again but it didn’t put a damper on the Annual Volleyball tournament.  We had 6 teams come out to challenge for their title of Celina Lake Festival Volleyball Tournament Champions and only one would come out in the end as the winner.  Yet again in true fashion to the creative and interesting team names we have the winner of this years tournament was ………  Travis’s Team !  LOL

Anyways, congratulations to Travis and his team in beating the rest to win the tournament and go home with an extra $150 as this years champions.  Here are some pictures of the event and the rain that went with it.

Monte Diegel Grand Marshal

Monte Diegel Presented Grand Marshal Award

As everybody knows and I’m pretty sure knows who he is, Monte Diegel was the Grand Marshal of our 2014 Celina Lake Festival Grand Parade.  The big problem is that he is usually so busy taking care of getting the parade ready that we never really had a chance to give him his award till later that night when everything calmed back down a little.  Here are pictures of his award presentation at our Lake Festival Office that night.

Thank you Monte for everything you have done and continue to do for the Celina Lake Festival and the great community of Celina, OH.

Another Night Done – A New Day Gets Ready

Well Saturday night comes to a close with some great weather.  Thunderstorms during the afternoon failed to halt a grand parade put on by the Celina Lake Festival Committee.  SuperVillian closed out the night with a wonderful performance down at the Entertainment Tent.

Sunday we still have a lot of events planned and are hoping and praying that the weather will skip over us so that everyone can come out and have a fun day starting with a pancake breakfast, church service put on by St. Pauls United Methodist Church and a few more great performances by the St. Pauls Rise Band and Connor Pledger and Paul Pfau in the afternoon.

Along with these there are also a lot of events for the kids coming up Sunday with a Kids Fishing Derby, Kiddie Tractor Pull a Canoe Adventure put on by ODNR, Archery and BB Gun Range by Marksman 4-H Club, and free boat rides compliments of Fresh Water Boaters Alliance.

Please come out and enjoy the final day of the Celina Lake Festival and remember, if the weather does get bad and there is lightning in the area, please play it safe and get indoors right away.

Supervillin

The Night Is Still Young

Well the Grand Parade is over now and even though it’s done there is still more entertainment going on down by the lake.  Don’t forget that Supervillin will be playing down at the Entertainment tent soon.  Bring your friends and family out and have some fun with Supervillin.
